Get to Know Me
Since 2017, my work has primarily focused on creating beautiful Airbnbs & Vacation Rentals with over 50 to date! In 2022 I stepped into new commercial territories turning a one room yoga studio into a 5 room Medspa. I also began working on Residential spaces which is such a pleasure because it means I am improving someone’s every-day sanctuary.
My design style tends to follow a more minimal aesthetic; creating fresh, functional & stylish spaces. However, It really depends on the request of my clients. I do love to switch it up and throw in dynamic patterns, bright colors and other fun eye catching features that bring personality to spaces.
My Story
One saturday night when I was at the impressionable age of 10, I was at my aunt and uncle’s. I didn’t have my regular TV programs and found myself watching TLC. That’s when I discovered the show that would change my frame of mind forever, “Trading Spaces.” Remember it?! For the unfamiliar- two couples who are friends trade spaces and revamp a room in their friends home on a tight budget and deadline. The have the help of a designer and carpenter of course. I probably stayed up until 2am watching the show feeling so inspired. The next day I would go on to tell my mom that one day I want to be an Interior Designer and make people’s homes beautiful!
It would take many years before I actually did what my heart desired. Although almost enrolling at FIDM to pursue Design & Fashion, I chose the UC route and went off to Santa Barbara to study Social Sciences. After graduating, I moved to Los Angeles and worked for an IT staffing agency. It was an incredible growing experience, however I still felt I wasn’t in alignment with my authentic self.
I moved to San Diego CA, Spring of 2016 to be close to my family. I took a demanding sales job and found love- Yay! This love of mine happened to own a few Airbnb’s but he definitely needed some TLC. On the weekends, I started to insist that I help him upgrade his properties. We were running to discount stores filling up the carts! This was my dream to walk into these stores and get to create something beautiful with everything they had! Although he insisted on paying me-I refused- I was doing this out of love…for him? Sure, but honestly, the love for the work.
It wasn’t until his business partners and friends began begging to hire me to help with their harsh deadlines that I started to think- “wow I could really do this.” It was January 2017 that I left my sales job and really began to take this whole design & Airbnb thing seriously.
I enrolled in Online Design courses, got my Real Estate license, hosted around 25 Airbnb/VRBO listings at a time, and got a few Airbnb’s of my own. In the last 6 I’ve years decorated and remodeled Airbnbs in San Diego, Orange County, Arizona, Catalina Island and in 2023 took my business international to Cabo San Lucas!
! I am beyond grateful to everyone who has been a part of this journey. I truly feel like this is just the beginning! I made sure to mention many of my clients and team in the credits of my projects. None of it would have been possible without their trust, skills and support. Cheers!
